Like all ecoNet products, the ecoNet SL is a multi-mesh gateway that leverages Nexgrid’s patent pending dual mesh technology to provide seamless and ubiquitous wireless communication in support of AMI, HAN, Demand Response, and other Distributed Automated functions. The ecoNet SL gateways support the latest WIFI 802.11N and ZigBee wireless communication standards. The SL product changes the game by being the easiest to install gateway available on the market. It is lightweight, very durable, and plugs into the photocell available on all common street lights in North America. Additionally, the ecoNet SL manages and monitors the streetlights providing energy usage and bulb outage notification.

Mr. Devlin has worked as a senior executive for over 30 years with extensive international experience in both operational and strategic business development roles. Devlin worked for Invensys, an $11 billion automation and controls company, where he worked closely with building AMI and smart grid solutions. Among other roles while with Invensys, he served as President, Invensys Home Controls. He will assist Nexgrid in further developing and implementing its strategic and operational plans.

MES has conducted a pilot with Nexgrid over the last six months and decided to begin rolling the solution to its entire commercial/industrial customer base beginning this summer. The rollout will provide a web-based portal to customers to better manage, monitor, and control their power usage and will provide operational improvements and improved billing capabilities for MES. The system will provide real time outage notification, reports on over/under utilization of utility assets, real time reading capabilities, and advanced analytical capabilities for energy usage.
