9/23/2011 - Nexgrid, a leading provider of advanced metering and smart grid infrastructure based on open standards, today announced that it has entered into a contract with the Borough of St Clair, Pennsylvania to provide smart grid infrastructure for its entire customer base.

St Clair and Nexgrid will complete the rollout in 2011, and it will provide real time, two-way communication to every electric meter in St Clair. The system will utilize General Electric meters equipped with Nexgrid’s communication modules .

8/22/2011 - Nexgrid, the leading provider of standards-based smart grid solutions, today announced that it has begun shipping the latest version of its flagship product, the ecoNet SL.

Like all ecoNet products, the ecoNet SL is a multi-mesh gateway that leverages Nexgrid’s patent pending dual mesh technology to provide seamless and ubiquitous wireless communication in support of AMI, HAN, Demand Response, and other Distributed Automated functions. The ecoNet SL gateways support the latest WIFI 802.11N and ZigBee wireless communication standards. The SL product changes the game by being the easiest to install gateway available on the market. It is lightweight, very durable, and plugs into the photocell available on all common street lights in North America. 6/28/2011 - Nexgrid, the leading provider of standards-based smart grid solutions, today announced that Jim Devlin, SVP of Sales for Advanced Innovations, has joined its board of directors. Devlin brings deep experience in Automated Metering Infrastructure, Smart Grid, and electronics manufacturing to Nexgrid’s talented Board of Directors.

Mr. Devlin has worked as a senior executive for over 30 years with extensive international experience in both operational and strategic business development roles. Devlin worked for Invensys, an $11 billion automation and controls company, where he worked closely with building AMI and smart grid solutions. Among other roles while with Invensys, he served as President, Invensys Home Controls. He will assist Nexgrid in further developing and implementing its strategic and operational plans.

5/13/2011 - Nexgrid, a leading provider of advanced metering and smart grid infrastructure based on open standards, today announced that it has entered into a contract with McMinnville Electric Systems (MES) to provide smart grid infrastructure to its commercial and industrial customers.

MES has conducted a pilot with Nexgrid over the last six months and decided to begin rolling the solution to its entire commercial/industrial customer base beginning this summer. The rollout will provide a web-based portal to customers to better manage, monitor, and control their power usage and will provide operational improvements and improved billing capabilities for MES. The system will provide real time outage notification, reports on over/under utilization of utility assets, real time reading capabilities, and advanced analytical capabilities for energy usage.
